Introductory Strategy and Draft Outline
Meeting #1
Dear Members, Friends and Visitors,
If you’ve read our Take Back Elections home page – you know we have all been, vetting, researching, discussing, and brainstorming reforms and best policies and practices for saving our small ‘d’ democratic election process. This includes all aspects of our election process from registering to vote, to learning about ballot questions, policies and all candidates, to how we cast our ballots after marking them and what voting method is best to use for better representation and better outcomes. It includes ‘leveling the playing field’ and much more. In our national online Zoom meetings and in working groups, large and small, we discuss and vet problems, ideas, solutions and concerns to get to best practices we will write into language for state constitutional amendments and ultimately a federal constitutional amendment to be passed by direct democracy ballot initiatives, state legislatures and ultimately in D.C.
We do have a Take Back Elections Outline - that we have worked on in larger and small groups for feedback, ideas and input - that represents all our work. There is a recorded national meeting you can listen to and view by accessing our recorded meetings on the website’s main menu – either under its own Meetings button or Resources button.
In that first meeting we had folks join in from different states and weigh-in with their thoughts, concerns and ideas. We’d also love to hear from you! View or listen to this first recording under Meetings and/or Resources, at the bottom of the meetings posted there, to catch up with our work and weigh-in here! Please join our work at the TBE website and share about us in your community, and beyond. Post your thoughts, comments and feedback to this introductory meeting and Take Back Elections overview of what we’re doing in this blog comment section! Sign up on our website and Take Back Elections Facebook group – Invite your family, friends and co-workers to both! Sign-up here on the website to work in your or other state’s forthcoming sweeping, unified, 50-state, comprehensive election process reforms to help Take Back Elections by the ballot initiative and as legislative constitutional amendments!
Thanks for reading, caring, sharing, stepping-up, and for being here!!
